Since its founding in 2000 and based in Neubrandenburg, the Hans Fallada Foundation has been committed to the permanent preservation and vibrant cultivation of the literary legacy of Hans Fallada. Within this framework, non-profit organizations, public institutions, foundations, as well as private individuals are supported in expanding and maintaining existing collections related to the life and work of the author. A particular focus lies on the scholarly examination of his oeuvre through publications, conferences, and events. Through targeted grants for archive maintenance and the acquisition of relevant documents, the foundation makes a valuable contribution to Germany’s cultural and literary history. Funding decisions are guided by the relevance to the Hans Fallada legacy as well as the demonstrated scholarly added value of the proposed projects.
