Description

The Hans Fallada Foundation, based in Neubrandenburg, has been promoting the permanent care and vibrant preservation of the literary estate of Hans Fallada since its establishment in 2000. Under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, it supports non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public bodies, as well as private individuals in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region. The foundation's goal is the scholarly exploration of the author's work, the expansion and maintenance of the collections, and the implementation of cultural projects. Funding is provided particularly for acquisitions for the Hans Fallada Archive, the organization of exhibitions and conferences, as well as the publication of research findings and non-fiction books.

Interested scholars, students, researchers, and non-profit organizations with documented projects related to the life and work of Hans Fallada may submit funding applications or make endowments at any time. A prerequisite is non-profit status or a cultural or journalistic connection to the subject matter. The foundation grants subsidies for all project-related expenses, from archive acquisitions and event organization to printing and publishing costs. Through its continuous funding framework, the Hans Fallada Foundation offers flexible support options to realize research projects and cultural initiatives and to sustainably bring the Fallada legacy into public awareness.
