Description

The Harald Huppert Foundation supports a wide range of projects nationwide in the fields of research & innovation, education, initial & continuing training, health, animal welfare, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. Individuals, public and non-profit institutions, as well as educational providers can apply for grants on an ongoing basis. Funding is provided, among other things, for scholarships for technical degree programs or further training measures, the full or partial repayment of BAföG loan debts, scientific projects researching malignant diseases of the hematopoietic and lymphatic systems, and the assumption of medical treatment costs for needy patients. Support also includes clinical care for financially disadvantaged animal owners as well as veterinary care in non-profit animal shelters. Approval requires proof of financial need, study or project descriptions, as well as medical or veterinary statements regarding planned treatments.

The Foundation places particular emphasis on the quality, relevance, and sustainability of the projects. Applicants must submit, in addition to BAföG notices, proof of financing, and enrollment certificates, detailed concepts and, if applicable, official permits. Selection is conducted continuously by the Foundation’s board, taking into account the applicants’ performance and suitability as well as the potential impact of the measures.
