Description

In Berlin, the Harold Bob Foundation primarily supports projects that strengthen the coexistence of Jewish and non-Jewish citizens, revive cultural and educational exchange between Germany and Israel, and support non-profit educational initiatives. Particular consideration is given to exhibitions, youth exchange programs, and school projects, including Jewish schools and other public-law institutions. Private individuals up to the age of 25 residing in Berlin and the surrounding area, as well as educational institutions and non-profit organizations, can apply for a grant for thematic projects in the areas of social cohesion, democratic education, and vocational training. The allocation is decided twice a year by the board of trustees together with the advisory council.

Applications must be submitted in typed form and include information on name, address, age, and other participants involved. A precise project description with dates, definition of target groups, and a transparent cost breakdown (total requirement, available funds, requested grant amount) are mandatory. Submissions are to be sent to the foundation’s headquarters; consultation appointments are provided upon request. This procedure supports innovative ideas for encounters and education and sustainably strengthens young committed multipliers as well as institutions in Berlin.
