Description

The HB Stiftung Berneburg gGmbH supports nationwide non-profit initiatives and institutions with a focus on education, research, as well as training and further education in the field of biodynamic and organic agriculture. Carriers from the non-profit sector, universities, and training enterprises receive project-related grants for conducting agricultural research, supporting university departments, or developing innovative training and continuing education programs. Furthermore, the foundation enables lease models that guarantee the long-term preservation of agricultural land while considering nature and climate protection. Personnel costs, material and travel expenses, as well as publication costs, can be applied for under this funding line. Projects particularly benefit if they offer scientific or educational added value, embrace the goals of Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophy, and pursue sustainable management strategies.

Applications can be submitted continuously but require a non-profit objective as well as collaboration with research institutions or training enterprises. To be submitted are a precise project description, a financing plan, and current CVs of the responsible project management. Evaluation takes place considering the alignment with the foundation’s purpose, the anticipated contribution to scientific, educational, or ecological development, as well as sustainability aspects. The Berneburg Foundation places great importance on a trusting partnership and offers professional guidance and administrative support for successfully approved projects. This funding opportunity is particularly aimed at non-profit associations, foundations, university institutes, and agricultural training projects seeking to test or establish innovative approaches in biodynamic agriculture.
