Description
The Herbert Kexel Foundation supports people in need as well as non-profit and public institutions in Limburg and its districts that are dedicated to caring for vulnerable groups. The focus is particularly on people with disabilities, the elderly, refugees, and others in precarious living situations. Through uncomplicated grants, basic needs are covered: from food and hygiene products to clothing and baby essentials, as well as electrical household appliances such as washing machines or stoves. Medical aids and assistive devices can also be financed if they are not covered by rehabilitation providers. Furthermore, the foundation promotes educational projects, measures for violence prevention and victim protection, as well as medical and nursing rehabilitation to achieve sustainable improvements in living conditions.
Eligible for funding are natural persons in involuntary distress due to disability or other circumstances, as well as tax-privileged organizations active in the city of Limburg. The funding rate can be up to 100% of expenses, and applications can be submitted at any time. The foundation’s goal is to provide immediate assistance to those affected through timely and targeted funding and to strengthen support structures in the long term. In this way, the funding contributes to sustainably promoting inclusion, education, and social participation locally and to strengthening community cohesion.
