Funding from the Hilke and Fritz Wolff Foundation (Local Heritage/Regional Studies, Science and Research)

The Hilke and Fritz Wolff Foundation supports nonprofit organizations nationwide as well as public law entities dedicated to the preservation of local history and heritage, as well as scientific research. With a clear focus on building and monument conservation, cultural initiatives, infrastructure and urban development projects, as well as innovative research approaches, the foundation backs diverse endeavors that strengthen cultural identity and advance scientific knowledge. As a grant provider, it offers financial resources to secure the preservation of historic building fabric as well as the study of regional traditions and contemporary issues in science and research.

Only projects initiated by tax-privileged institutions pursuing a charitable purpose are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, thus providing flexible planning opportunities for initiatives of all sizes. Through targeted support of local history/heritage preservation projects and research initiatives, the foundation creates sustainable impulses for social and cultural innovation. Committed project sponsors thus have the opportunity to preserve local identities, further develop scientific methods, and set impulses for future generations. Interested institutions may submit a funding application at any time and thereby actively contribute to strengthening culture, monument protection, and research in Germany.
