Funding of the Inga Köthe Foundation

The Inga Köthe Foundation continuously grants subsidies for families with seriously ill children – especially minors with heart conditions – as well as for hospitals, social and research institutions in the regions of Ammerland, Rastede, Oldenburg, Weser/Ems, Friesland, and East Frisia. The foundation's goal is to improve the quality of life for affected families and to open up new avenues in diagnostics, therapy, and care through targeted funding measures. Eligible for funding are private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that offer services not fully covered by health insurance or government agencies. The thematic focus areas include health, children and youth, social affairs, as well as work & social services.

Funding is provided, among other things, for therapies, therapeutic aids, tutoring, travel expenses for medical treatments, hospital equipment, and research projects. A prerequisite for a grant is proof of uncovered costs, a medical prescription or therapeutic recommendation, as well as evidence of belonging to the target group. An informal application together with cost receipts, prescriptions, and treatment records can be submitted at any time.
