Description

The funding program of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality grants public and independent providers of youth welfare as well as non-profit organizations in Lower Saxony a non-repayable grant for international exchange activities involving young people and educational professionals. The aim is to strengthen intercultural competence, facilitate professional experience exchange, and build partnership networks. Funding is provided for on-site, hybrid, and digital formats lasting between five and 30 days, with a balanced ratio of German and foreign participants aged 12 to 27 years. The funding rate is €20 to €35 per day and person; additional allowances are possible for increased expenses as well as for educational preparation, evaluation, and language mediation. Applications must be submitted by April 1 of the fiscal year, at the latest before the start of the activity.

A prerequisite for approval is a timely coordinated program schedule, the involvement of participants in planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as proof of Juleica or an equivalent pedagogical qualification of the leadership personnel. Eligible expenses include travel costs, accommodation and program costs, preparation and evaluation costs, fees for moderation and language mediation, as well as access to digital tools. For the application, a project description, a budget and financing plan, a participant list, a program agreement, and a simple proof of use must be submitted. The evaluation focuses on the substantive quality of the concept, the consideration of gender mainstreaming and diversity, as well as the sustainability and networking of the activity.
