Description
The Johann Bünting Foundation supports non-profit projects in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia with a permanent grant character, which contribute to the social, cultural, and educational diversity in the region. Priority is given to initiatives in the fields of welfare services, health care, education and upbringing, as well as art, culture, and heritage preservation. The foundation's goal is to strengthen officially recognized associations and clubs in their work and thereby sustainably promote the collective well-being and cultural development of the population. Through collaboration with regional initiatives, a network is to be established that enables professional exchange and joint commitment in the funded thematic areas.
Recognition as a non-profit association or club is a mandatory prerequisite for submitting an application; furthermore, the planned activities must take place within the specified thematic areas and be implemented within the funding region. Required documents include a completed funding application (PDF), the proposal form for the Johann Bünting Award, as well as a copy of the tax exemption certificate. The deadline is open-ended – applications can be submitted at any time. The awarding procedure is conducted based on verifiable compliance with the funding guidelines to ensure a transparent and impact-oriented allocation of funds.
