Funding of the Josef Mühlbauer Foundation

The Josef Mühlbauer Foundation is committed nationwide to charitable and benevolent initiatives across a broad spectrum of funding areas – from science and research to education, culture, environmental and nature conservation, as well as social and health projects, sports, and development cooperation. Both non-profit organizations and private individuals with a recognized funding purpose may submit project applications. The foundation’s goal is to support especially those projects that benefit children, adolescents, and young adults, promote general and vocational education, strengthen monument preservation and landscape management, or provide assistance to people in precarious life situations. Another focus lies on the promotion of art and cultural projects as well as international understanding and development aid.

Funding applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and can be submitted at any time using the provided application form. After receipt and formal review, applicants will be asked to submit supplementary documents following feedback from the foundation to enable a complete evaluation. The award decision is made in regular meetings of the expert committees as soon as all required documents are available. A prerequisite for funding is the exclusivity of charitable or benevolent purposes. Grants are awarded as subsidies and offer project leaders the opportunity to implement innovative ideas and sustainable measures effectively. Both small and large project proposals receive financial start-up support upon positive evaluation to unfold their impact locally and build long-term structures.
