Funding of the Josef Stefan Foundation (operational support in the "House of Security")

The Josef Stefan Foundation supports a nature-oriented, supervised shared living community for up to nine people with intellectual and multiple disabilities in Bavaria at the "House of Security." In a lovingly renovated farmstead in Aholming, residents experience a family-like atmosphere that places self-determination, security, and participation at its core. Sociotherapeutic offerings such as animal care, fruit and vegetable cultivation, as well as creative and sporting activities support the development of individual abilities. A professional team with diverse pedagogical qualifications accompanies the residents in their daily lives, creating space for community, trust, and individual growth.

Eligible for support are private individuals with intellectual and multiple disabilities who are willing to live in a small shared living community. Inquiries regarding admission and trial stays can be made at any time. The goal is to enable people to live self-determined lives and to provide them with a reliable home. The subsidy from the Josef Stefan Foundation ensures long-term, operational care and contributes to the continuous development of the care services offered. Interested parties receive all information about the admission process directly on-site in Penzling and can apply without deadline constraints. This creates an individual home that combines security, stability, and a high quality of life.
