Funding objective
The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania supports counties and independent cities as local providers of public youth welfare with funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) in the implementation of youth social work in the form of individual and group work as well as the necessary networking and committee work, in order to offer socio-educational assistance to socially disadvantaged and individually impaired young people and to enable them to lead an independent life.

Description
The funding program is aimed at counties and independent cities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as local providers of public youth welfare services. With funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), individual and group work as well as the necessary networking and committee work in youth social work are supported. The goal is to offer socio-pedagogical assistance to socially disadvantaged and individually impaired young people and to enable them to lead an independent life. The funding is granted continuously and is designed as a grant. The duration of the program phase is from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2029, with no application deadlines.
Eligible for funding are exclusively public institutions in the form of counties and independent cities of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania that allocate at least 15 hours per week to youth social work. Co-financing in the same amount as the ESF+ funds is mandatory, as is the conclusion of an agreement with the state and the use of the IT program ISAP-iDE for financial processing and monitoring. The funding amount is €2,685.88 per full-time position per month; from 01.01.2024, the grant increases annually by 2.4%.
