Description
The Youth Foundation Baden-Württemberg supports independent non-profit organizations in the implementation of innovative youth education projects in Baden-Württemberg. Funding is provided for initiatives in which young people have a significant influence on planning and implementation, emphasizing self-initiative, voluntary commitment, and the assumption of responsibility. The program areas range from democracy education and digitalization to culture, vocational training, and work & social affairs. Applications can be submitted twice a year by March 1 and September 30. Funding is granted as a subsidy for material costs and fees, with funding amounts between €1,500 and €6,000; for particularly small projects, micro-grants of up to €500 are available.
A prerequisite for support is the application by a non-profit organization, association, foundation, or interest group based in Baden-Württemberg. Projects may have a maximum duration of 36 months and must not be already or exclusively financed from state budget funds. Personnel costs, regularly recurring measures, holiday camps, large events, anniversaries, purely school-based programs, class trips, or projects within the framework of university education are excluded. Organizations that have been approved once must take a two-year break after three consecutive funding periods to allow new initiatives to benefit. The Youth Foundation offers a funding check and further information on the application process on its website and works closely with local partners to create sustainable networks and long-term impact.
