Description

The Karl-Heinrich-Linde Foundation supports non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and individuals in the Oldenburg Münsterland with earmarked grants to strengthen public health services, disability assistance, and other charitable initiatives. In particular, projects and services focusing on epilepsy, brain injuries, homelessness, as well as vocational training and further education are funded. Continuing education, self-help groups, and individual assistance for people with physical, mental, or psychological impairments constitute central areas of support. The foundation, named after Karl-Heinrich Linde, who himself suffered from traumatic epilepsy, places great importance on close regional ties and sustainable impact in the Oldenburg Münsterland. Its commitment aims to improve quality of life and increase participation opportunities for affected individuals.

Eligible for funding are legal entities with proven non-profit status (e.g., welfare associations, school authorities, self-help group sponsors) and individuals with special needs. Applications may be submitted at any time; decisions are made in April/May and November. A prerequisite is that the project begins within the funding area and has not yet started. For the application, an informal letter or the official application form, a project description (1–2 pages), and proof of non-profit status must be submitted. The allocation of funds is at the discretion of the foundation’s board and is carried out under the requirement of timely, purpose-bound use of funds. Interested project leaders benefit from flexible submission options and diverse funding opportunities to advance innovative offerings in the health and social sectors.
