Description

The Kemper Foundation for Real Estate Education and Research supports students, professors, and scientific staff at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim, Holzminden, and Göttingen, Lower Saxony, with project-based grants. The focus is on promoting the internationalization of study and research projects related to the construction, preservation, and management of real estate. Financial support is intended to enable excursions, semesters abroad, conference and trade fair participation, as well as theses (bachelor’s, master’s), doctoral dissertations, and innovative research projects. The foundation aims to strengthen talented individuals in real estate education and research and to contribute to the development of international networks. Ongoing application opportunities offer flexible planning options for current and new projects.

Decisions on awards are made by the foundation’s board and an expert committee based on transparent criteria: outstanding academic achievements, international orientation, scientific and economic relevance, as well as the financial need of the applicants are taken into account in the selection process. Additionally, special commitment and individual circumstances such as university-political or social engagement, family responsibilities, or migration background are considered. Prerequisites for application are membership or affiliation with the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Exceptions are at the discretion of the board. Applications may be submitted at any time, enabling the Kemper Foundation to continuously contribute to enhancing the quality of real estate education and research and to implementing international collaborations.
