Support from the Kieler Volksbank Foundation

Since its founding in 2019, the Kieler Volksbank Foundation has supported non-profit initiatives and institutions in Kiel and the surrounding area. With a focus on education and training, research & innovation, science, sports, arts & culture, as well as social projects, environmental and animal protection, and disaster relief, the foundation contributes to the sustainable development of the region. Educational and social projects are given equal priority alongside the preservation and maintenance of historic buildings or measures for energy efficiency and climate protection. Grants are awarded several times a year in accordance with the guidelines for the allocation of foundation funds and the statutes of the Kieler Volksbank Foundation.

Funding is provided to non-profit organizations, associations, educational institutions, interest groups, and public bodies based or active in Schleswig-Holstein, particularly in Kiel. Prerequisites for submitting an application include proof of non-profit status, a completed PDF application form, and compliance with the foundation’s statutes. The funding application can be downloaded, completed, and submitted by email at any time. Decisions on submitted applications are made by the board of trustees in regular meetings. Interested project sponsors can obtain further information on the allocation guidelines and the foundation’s statutes as downloads, enabling them to apply for funding in a targeted manner. The ongoing willingness to provide funding ensures that innovative and non-profit projects can be supported quickly and straightforwardly.
