Description
The Nordstern Children’s Foundation is committed nationwide to recognized funding projects that provide disadvantaged children and young people at home and abroad with sustainable educational, social, and developmental opportunities. As a legally recognized foundation under civil law, all donations and foundation funds flow 100% into charitable and benevolent projects in accordance with the tax code. Eligible for funding are, in addition to non-profit organizations and interest groups, other associations as well as private individuals with a proven charitable purpose. The foundation supports projects in the areas of child and youth welfare, poverty alleviation, education, development cooperation, vocational training, as well as agriculture and rural development. Recognition as a relief project and proof of the use of funds for the benefit of disadvantaged children and young people are prerequisites for funding. Ongoing application submissions enable flexible project planning without fixed deadlines.
With the aim of promoting equal opportunities and strengthening social integration, funding is provided in the form of grants. To date, projects have included school buildings in West Africa, training centers for girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda, vocational training initiatives in Malawi, as well as summer activities in the region. The Nordstern Children’s Foundation places great importance on transparency and monitors the use of funds through regular reporting and feedback. The growing foundation assets also enable the implementation of its own recognized projects. Potential applicants benefit from a streamlined procedure that supports individual solutions and provides impetus for innovative concepts. Interested project sponsors can find detailed funding conditions and comprehensive documentation on the foundation’s website.
