Description

The Klaus-Martin-Winkler Foundation Leipzig supports projects and initiatives in the field of education and pedagogy both in the federal state of Saxony and nationwide. Funding is provided to non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, associations, and also private individuals who implement programs for the personal development of children and adolescents. Thematic focus areas include educational measures, childcare, tutoring, integration initiatives, as well as pedagogical research and development. The goal is to empower young people to become responsible and socially competent individuals. Additionally, measures that facilitate everyday life for older people are part of the funding portfolio. The foundation operates in the funding areas of education, vocational training and further education, children and youth, engagement for social cohesion and democracy, research & innovation, as well as work & social affairs.

Applications can be submitted continuously, with deadlines on April 1 for consideration in May and on September 1 for a decision in October. Required documents include a cover letter with project title and requested funding amount, a brief description, explanation of measures and target groups, cost and financing plan, timeline and action plan, relevant visual materials, information about the applicant institution and the persons involved, as well as a current exemption notice as proof of non-profit status. Grants are awarded in the form of subsidies. Through flexible funding structures and individual consultation by the office, it is ensured that innovative pedagogical approaches and research projects receive effective support and their target groups can benefit sustainably.
