Description

Since its founding by former Mayor Dr. Stöcker in 1996, the Culture and Sports Foundation of the City of Rosenheim has supported a wide range of projects in the fields of culture, sports, and social affairs. The independent foundation, which has its own board of trustees, is committed to promoting cultural life in Rosenheim and thereby making a sustainable contribution to social development. In particular, projects in the areas of education, art, science, media, music, social issues, vocational training & further education, as well as research and innovation, can benefit from the funding measures. The foundation links the support of cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, and art acquisitions with the assistance of social initiatives, including measures in elderly care and support for people with disabilities.

Eligible for this sponsorship initiative are non-profit organizations as well as public institutions that submit projects on their own initiative or upon proposal. The application process is deliberately informal, so interested parties only need to submit the required funding application form to gain access to the funding opportunities. This straightforward approach underscores the foundation’s aim to enable a broad target group—including cultural actors, educational institutions, artists, and social institutions—to access financial support. This not only strengthens the diversity and vibrancy of the regional art and cultural scene but also promotes interdisciplinary exchange between different social sectors.

The sponsorship measure is aimed at all those who wish to engage in the development and preservation of Rosenheim’s cultural heritage. By supporting events, exhibitions, and innovative projects, the foundation creates a platform for forward-looking ideas and thus promotes the preservation and further development of cultural life. Interested project sponsors have the opportunity to submit their concepts by August 1, 2025 and actively participate in shaping the cultural and social landscape of the region. This initiative represents an important building block to strengthen regional cohesion and sustainably support a vibrant, inclusive cultural environment.
