Description
Support for Agriculture by the State of Carinthia according to K-LFF 2023 is a continuously available grant initiative that has been aiming since July 15, 2023, to structurally strengthen agricultural and forestry enterprises in Carinthia and closely integrate them with the overall economy. Funding is provided for investments in commercial and alpine buildings, technical equipment, marketing and sales measures, diversification projects, young farmers’ establishment, ecologically valuable initiatives, as well as cultural preservation measures. Aid intensities range from 40% to 100% of eligible expenses depending on the funding area. Economic viability, innovation potential, environmental and climate protection aspects, as well as contribution to rural development, constitute the central evaluation criteria. Consulting, planning, and concept costs are considered, as well as personnel and material expenses.
Applicants – from private individuals and companies to cooperatives, start-ups, and municipalities – must be established in Carinthia, operate an agricultural or forestry enterprise, and demonstrate professional qualifications. Regardless of size and required workforce, eligible expenses include investment costs, personnel remuneration, material expenses, consulting fees, as well as planning and project conception. Non-eligible costs include non-project-specific insurance, depreciation, court and administrative fees, attorney and notary fees, license and membership fees. For application submission, the application form, project description, declaration of commitment, financing or business plan, proof of qualification, unit value certificate, and in the case of cultural heritage projects, an expert report are required. Applications can be submitted at any time to the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 10 – Agriculture and Forestry, Rural Areas. Applicants are encouraged to engage in early project planning and coordination with experts to optimize the chances of successful detailed approval.
