Description

The Laurens H. C. Spethmann Foundation supports nationwide charitable initiatives engaged in youth and elderly care as well as public health. Projects that enrich social welfare, open up prospects for children and young people, and enhance the quality of life for older adults are funded. Initiatives in the fields of education, work & social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education, are also part of the funding portfolio. The foundation grants one-time or multi-year subsidies to achieve sustainable impact in various regions across Germany. The well-being of the beneficiaries and the sustainable shaping of social cohesion are central to its mission.

Interested non-profit organizations, public institutions, educational establishments, interest groups, or associations may submit an informal project proposal at any time via email or through the contact form. Decision rounds take place twice yearly, in June and November. Submissions should include a brief description of the project, information on the beneficiaries, locations of implementation, secured funding to date, and the requested grant amount. This straightforward procedure enables the foundation to maintain a prompt dialogue with applicants and to swiftly review project ideas. In doing so, it helps ensure that social, health-related, and educational initiatives can be implemented in a timely manner.
