Description

The LBBW Foundation is committed to sustainable engagement in Baden-Württemberg and supports specific projects in the fields of art and culture, environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, as well as education and training. Applicants may be natural or legal persons, associations, foundations, educational institutions, and public bodies with their registered office or residence in Baden-Württemberg. The foundation appeals to civic engagement, pays special attention to youth initiatives, and supports local projects as seed funding. To avoid concentration of funds in individual locations, submitted projects are reviewed for content alignment. The goal is to promote education, further and continuing training, upbringing, as well as science and research in the mentioned areas, in order to strengthen diversity and community spirit within the region.

The grant is provided as a one-time subsidy for individual projects; ongoing funding is excluded. A prerequisite is the submission of a standardized funding application with a meaningful project description, a detailed cost and financing plan, as well as evidence of own funds and in-kind contributions. Applicants must provide information about other funding applications and commitments already received. Eligible expenses include fees, rental costs, advertising costs, technical equipment, and material costs, while personnel and administrative costs, building maintenance, land acquisition, travel, instrument purchases, scholarships, and projects already started are not considered. Applications can be submitted continuously and are reviewed by the board and management according to a separate set of rules; the decision will be communicated in writing. Disbursed funds must be drawn down no later than six months after the project ends. Upon completion, a proof of use and a project report must be submitted; in case of non-use or violation of regulations, the foundation reserves the right to reduce or reclaim funds.
