Funding by the LOTTO Foundation Berlin

The LOTTO Foundation Berlin continuously supports non-profit projects in the capital that contribute to social cohesion, cultural diversity, environmental and nature conservation, as well as the promotion of democratic participation. The focus is on innovative initiatives in the areas of social affairs, culture & media, work & social issues, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as building and monument preservation. The commitment ranges from charitable services to artistic endeavors, educational formats, and environmentally related projects. With its transparent allocation practices and clearly defined evaluation criteria, the foundation emphasizes sustainability and impact, thereby contributing to the lasting improvement of quality of life in Berlin.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public and private educational institutions, foundations, interest groups, as well as other associations based or active in Berlin. A prerequisite for application is the demonstration of a clearly defined project objective within the specified thematic fields, as well as a plausible financing plan. Applications can be submitted at any time; an application form, an information sheet on application procedures, and a guide to project description are available for this purpose. Selection is based on alignment with the foundation’s goals, the long-term impact of the project, and a transparent financial plan. Through this structured approach, the LOTTO Foundation Berlin ensures targeted funding and enables diverse actors to implement their initiatives to strengthen the urban community.
