Description
The promotion of measures under the Disaster Relief Act in Burgenland is aimed at non-profit rescue and aid organizations at the district and state levels and supports the implementation of diverse disaster relief measures. The focus is, among other things, on the preparation and execution of deployment exercises, conferences, and training sessions to sustainably strengthen the readiness of participants and experts. Additionally, catering and travel expenses are funded to enable training and exercises regardless of regional location conditions. Funds are available continuously and until the budget of approximately €0.035 million is exhausted, with applications able to be submitted at any time.
Funding is provided in the form of a grant exclusively awarded to non-profit organizations in Burgenland. A prerequisite for funding is a written application from the respective rescue or aid organization, supplemented by the order of the responsible district administrative authority, as well as the submission of already paid invoices. Eligible expenses specifically include costs for deployment exercises, the conduct of conferences and training, as well as catering and travel expenses. Only the completed application and the corresponding invoices are required. This measure enhances the performance capacity of aid organizations and secures disaster preparedness in Burgenland in the long term.
