Description
The Matthäus 6:33 Foundation supports charitable projects and life paths nationwide that place seeking and trusting in Christ according to Matthew 6:33 at their core. Funding is provided to both private individuals and public institutions and associations, with a maximum grant of €100 per month over a period of up to 12 months. Decisions on submitted applications are made semi-annually on the deadlines of April 15 and October 15. The selection of projects is based on the urgency and significance of the respective project as well as the available funds of the foundation. Ongoing operational and maintenance costs or unallocated expenses of the applicant are not eligible for funding.
A prerequisite for funding is a total monthly income not exceeding four times the standard social assistance rate (currently 4 × €364), as well as a clearly recognizable Christian-missionary orientation in accordance with the statutes. Applications must be submitted in full and include: the completed application form with photo, a tabular curriculum vitae, a description of the spiritual-theological background, and an explanation of the project with regard to the objectives of the Matthäus 6:33 Foundation. Incomplete applications cannot be considered. The board decides on the granting of funding; there is no legal entitlement. An extension of support beyond the first funding year is generally only possible for special reasons.
