Description

Since its founding in 2011, the MMK Foundation has been committed to the sustainable development of the Museum of Modern Art Frankfurt and supports ambitious projects in Hesse. Private individuals, companies, foundations, and non-profit organizations can contribute at any time to support the work of an internationally connected institution for contemporary art. As a sponsorship instrument, the foundation provides financial resources for selected program segments – from the innovative branch TOWERMMK to targeted cultural education initiatives, as well as restoration interventions and scientific research projects. This flexible funding model ensures the long-term quality and reach of the museum’s work for diverse target groups.

Those interested in funding focus their engagement on key areas of the MMK: within the framework of TOWERMMK, the foundation contributes to realizing an economically sustainable expansion concept. Support for cultural education grants schools free access to art mediation programs through sponsorships. To preserve the extensive collection of over 5,000 works, funds are provided for collection presentations and restoration measures. Research projects, finally, reflect societal change and the museum’s role as a public space of the 21st century. By issuing donation receipts, donors benefit from tax advantages while determining the specific purpose their contribution serves. This ongoing funding system offers all interested parties the opportunity to actively shape Hesse’s cultural landscape and set pioneering impulses for the MMK.
