Funding requirements

  • Eligible to apply are owners, owners' associations, tenants with the consent of the landlords, or other legally entitled parties of multi-family houses with more than 4 residential units or commercially used properties with more than 10 workplaces, whose building permit was issued before 01/01/2011.

Description

In Hamburg, a funding initiative opens up new opportunities for owners, homeowner associations, tenants (with landlord consent), as well as other real rights holders of multi-family houses (at least four residential units) and commercially used properties (with ten or more workplaces), whose building permits were issued before 01/01/2011, to modernize and install high-quality bicycle parking facilities outside public areas. The goal is to create secure, weather-protected, and theft-proof parking spaces, including charging connections for pedelecs. As a non-repayable grant, 40% of eligible additional components (canopies, conversion measures, electrical connections) and 20% for further investments are covered. Up to €300 per parking space (or €400 with a charging connection) can be granted; the maximum funding amount is €60,000 per applicant within two years.

Eligible are, for example, canopies, enclosures, bicycle boxes, small garages, conversions of basement and commercial spaces into storage rooms, equipment with leaning bars, double-decker racks, ramps, electric door openers as well as electrical connections and investments for improved weather or theft protection. Excluded are vertical hangings, purely front-wheel holders, stands with spacing under 45 cm, demolition, maintenance, or repair measures. Applications can be submitted continuously and must be fully completed within three months, including the original application form, proof of identity, land register excerpt, cadastral map with location, sketches, photos, cost estimates, product brochures, and, if applicable, building permits and consents (monument protection, landlords, homeowner associations). The Hamburg Investment and Development Bank is responsible for reviewing and approving the applications.
