Description
The basic funding for open youth work in Carinthia supports non-profit organizations in sustainably operating youth centers, youth clubs, and youth spaces locally. Non-profit organizations that actively accompany children and young people in Carinthia and provide spaces for encounters, creative projects, and democratic engagement are funded. Annual grants ranging from €4,000 to €8,000 secure needs-based opening hours and expand personnel resources. The program offers ongoing application opportunities and is explicitly aimed at organizations committed to social cohesion, social participation, and democratic values.
Binding prerequisites must be met for the application: either an offer on at least three days per week with 12 weekly hours (Funding A) or four days per week with 20 weekly hours and professionally qualified supervisors (Funding B). In addition, the extent of employee employment, an annual plan with planned measures, and the completed survey form "Open Youth Work" must be submitted. The complete application including declaration of commitment, annual report, and original receipts must be submitted in writing. A timely proof of use with receipts and annual report by June 1 of the following year is a condition for subsequent funding. This funding instrument thus makes a significant contribution to strengthening open youth work and promoting young people in Carinthia.
