Description
The Peter Mählmann Foundation supports children and youth projects within the business area of Hamburger Sparkasse in Hamburg and targets non-profit organizations active in the fields of education, upbringing, culture, and sports. The foundation places a special emphasis on projects that assist disadvantaged, disabled, or socially underprivileged children and young people. Ongoing applications are possible, allowing institutions from the broad education and cultural sectors as well as school and sports clubs to continuously apply for grants. Smaller capital measures, such as the acquisition of play and sports equipment, are enabled to achieve direct and positive effects in the daily lives of young people.
The funding aims to support inclusive and diverse projects that bring about a sustainable improvement in the quality of life in socially disadvantaged areas. Funding is granted on the condition that the applying institution is non-profit and has its activities anchored in child and youth work. Furthermore, the projects must be located within the direct business area of Hamburger Sparkasse. The foundation places particular importance on the fact that the provided funds generate direct benefits for children and young people and thus contribute to creating a supportive environment. A current exemption notice is mandatory as proof of non-profit status.
The funding program offers a valuable opportunity to implement innovative approaches in youth work and strengthen social participation. Experts and project teams from the education and cultural sectors have the opportunity to receive financial support through a grant for necessary capital measures. The clear focus on the local Hamburg area as well as the specified funding areas represent an attractive chance to initiate positive developments in the social and cultural environment. Interested institutions and clubs that care for disadvantaged and/or needy young people thus have the opportunity to specifically further develop and comprehensively realize their projects.
