Description
The Planet Bambi – Gisela and Theo Grabowski Foundation continuously supports innovative projects and collaborations in Bavaria in the field of holistic health education and prevention. As a grant program, the funding is aimed at educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and private individuals who wish to make an impact in the areas of health, education, sports, environmental and nature conservation, social cohesion/democracy, work & social affairs, vocational training & continuing education, culture & media, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. The objective is the implementation of initiatives that link nutrition, exercise, nature experiences, community, and sustainability. This results in multisensory learning opportunities where children, adolescents, and families gain practical experiences – whether collecting herbs in the forest, cooking over an open fire, or participating in workshops on the Planet Bambi Campus.
Schools, educational providers, and funding partners benefit from a straightforward application process that is open at any time. Funded are concepts that begin directly in the classroom, as well as mobile or digital formats designed to bring health-conscious learning to places with limited access to nature. The foundation invites all interested parties to engage as funding partners and help shape a sustainable learning environment. Through the combination of film sequences and practical units, a profound understanding of the interactions between body, mind, environment, and social interaction is developed. In doing so, the program contributes to a healthier, more resilient society and promotes the long-term motivation of young people to independently adopt a healthy lifestyle.
