Funding is provided for musical productions, publications, scholarships for study and further education, theoretical and practical training, research projects, and awards. Eligible applicants include private individuals, educational institutions, non-profit, and public organizations in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. Application requirements include a project proposal written in German of no more than five pages, which must be submitted together with a brief application and a cost and financing plan as a single PDF. The foundation aims to strengthen talented individuals in the contemporary and world music sectors and awards funding on an ongoing basis; decisions are generally made within six months. Particular focus is placed on works that were once considered "degenerate," as well as on innovative research and publication projects. By providing scholarships and project grants, a broad spectrum of artistic and scientific endeavors at home and abroad is supported.
