Description

The Professor Klaus Riedle Foundation supports innovative teaching and research initiatives nationwide in the field of power generation. With a clear focus on the Faculty of Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) as well as the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI), the foundation aims to strengthen national and international collaborations. Funding is provided in the form of a grant, effectively promoting projects in teaching and study, doctoral and postdoctoral phases, as well as experimental research endeavors. Through continuous application opportunities, faculty and researchers at both institutions gain flexibility in planning and implementing forward-looking projects in the energy sector.

Academic initiatives by members of the FAU Faculty of Engineering and scientific staff of MPEI addressing issues related to power generation are supported. A prerequisite for funding approval is institutional affiliation with one of the two universities. Projects incorporating novel technologies, interdisciplinary approaches, or international networks benefit from particularly favorable conditions. Eligible institutions may submit their applications without a fixed deadline – a prompt decision ensures uncomplicated project planning. The call invites the realization of ideas along the entire value chain from research questions to teaching, thereby strengthening the reciprocal expert network between Germany and Russia.
