Funding of the Projects of the Jörg Reker Foundation

The Jörg Reker Foundation continuously supports charitable projects in Germany and Gambia with a focus on education and health, as well as related fields such as sports, development cooperation, social affairs, environmental and nature conservation, culture, media, and energy efficiency. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of social cohesion and personal development through projects that place humanity, solidarity, and personal responsibility at their core. Initiatives that make a tangible contribution to a lived community are supported—whether through educational offerings, health and sports programs, family support, or humanitarian aid. Impact orientation and sustainability are central evaluation criteria to ensure long-term effects on site.

Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations, public institutions, educational establishments, interest groups, associations, and companies active in Germany or Gambia. A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a detailed project description and a budget plan, as well as alignment of the measure with the foundation’s objectives. Project implementation is possible year-round, as the foundation continuously accepts applications. Selection is based on the alignment with funding goals as well as the projected impact and sustainability. Applicants thus have the opportunity to initiate innovative projects or further develop existing initiatives and actively contribute to a new sense of community in local and international contexts.
