Description

Since its founding, the Regional Foundation of Kreissparkasse Gotha has supported sustainable and charitable projects in the district of Gotha. With a broad funding focus that includes disaster protection, child and youth work, sports, environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, animal welfare, science, labor and social affairs, culture, as well as research and innovation, regional initiatives are strengthened that provide direct benefits to the citizens. This grant program exclusively supports projects implemented within the Kreissparkasse Gotha’s business area and relies on sustainable concepts to establish long-term added value in the region.

Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations, associations, institutions, and federations planning a sustainable and socially relevant initiative. A prerequisite for funding is that the project targets the district of Gotha and complies with the principles of non-profit status and sustainability. The submitted documents include, in addition to the association’s statutes and a current certificate of non-profit status, a detailed financing plan that transparently presents the project’s cost and revenue structure. This ensures that the supported initiatives achieve not only short-term effects but are also viable in the long term.

The funding places special emphasis on strengthening civic engagement and sets impulses in diverse areas, from culture and media to sports, nature and climate protection, as well as research and innovative approaches in energy efficiency. With financial support, the foundation contributes to enabling important regional projects to successfully realize their plans, ultimately improving the quality of life in the region. Due to the regular and ongoing nature of the funding program, this grant opportunity offers non-profit actors in Thuringia the chance to implement their ideas while strengthening social cohesion. Interested organizations can thus make a valuable contribution to the common good and sustainably further develop their projects.
