Funding of the Rivera Foundation (Educational Support)

The Rivera Foundation supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions nationwide through unlimited grants for the development of innovative educational projects. The focus areas are vocational training and further education, development cooperation, as well as agriculture and rural development in the vicinity of the foundation’s headquarters and selected developing countries. Only tax-recognized nonprofit entities whose statutes (§ 2 para. 2) embed educational promotion in the specified fields are eligible for funding. A demonstrated need in the project area as well as secured overall financing are prerequisites for submitting a fundable measure. The board of the Rivera Foundation places particular emphasis on prospects for success, multiplier potential, and sustainability beyond the end of the funding period.

No standardized application form is required; however, an accurate project description, a detailed financing plan, and a binding schedule are essential. In addition to current needs, the evaluation considers the experience of the project implementers and the feasibility on site. Thanks to ongoing application deadlines, interested parties can submit applications at any time and receive prompt decisions on funding. Semi-annual reports and timely notifications of deviations ensure transparency and guarantee continuous coordination with the foundation’s board. Through this procedure, the Rivera Foundation sustainably promotes education, strengthens local actors, and contributes to generating new impulses in rural regions and partner countries.
