Description

The Rolf Herber Foundation supports research and teaching nationwide in German and international transport and maritime commercial law. The objective is to preserve and further develop the life’s work of Prof. Dr. Rolf Herber through targeted promotion of scientific work. Completed dissertations and, in justified individual cases, master’s theses are supported through printing cost subsidies. Furthermore, participants receive grants for registration fees for professional events, seminars, colloquia, and moot courts, as well as organizational support for the implementation of corresponding training concepts. The foundation is aimed at students, young researchers, and educators who engage with issues of maritime commercial and transport law, promoting innovative impulses in research and practice.

Applications for a grant can be submitted by individuals throughout the year. Prerequisites include a completed dissertation or a justified master’s thesis proposal, supplemented by a brief summary of the work, a tabular CV, existing evaluation reports, and a declaration of current funding.
