Funding by the Schöffel Foundation (Application/Project Funding)

The funding provided by the Schöffel Foundation is aimed at educational institutions, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations of all sizes in Germany. The program supports initiatives that encourage children and young people to engage in physical activity in nature, make environmental and nature conservation projects tangible, and promote social as well as regional initiatives. In the funding areas of education, science, culture, sports, environmental/nature conservation, regional development, energy efficiency, agriculture, vocational training and further education, as well as media & culture, the foundation offers flexible grants for one-time, recurring, or long-term actions. Projects are supported that impress through their originality, educational sustainability, and practical effectiveness, and that achieve a tangible benefit for the participants and the region.

Applications can be submitted at any time and are handled simply via email with the completed application form (PDF), a detailed project description, and a transparent cost breakdown. Additionally, proof of non-profit status is required. The selection process particularly considers the innovative strength of the concept, the educational quality, and the efficiency level of the planned measure. The Schöffel Foundation reviews each application promptly and responds immediately to inform about the funding approval. Submissions for funding strengthen the commitment of schools, clubs, and youth groups and contribute to sustainably promoting nature experiences, sporting activities, and social cohesion in German regions.
