Promotion of the self-determined participation of people with disabilities

The Free State of Saxony provides funding within the framework of a grant program to strengthen the self-determined participation of people with disabilities in all areas of life. Submitted project proposals should develop new or expanded services for inclusive participation in social life and the labor market. A focus is placed on self-help measures, the professional development of existing services, and open offerings such as meeting days, cultural and sports events, as well as educational and networking activities. By combining social, health, and employment-related funding areas, synergies are created that provide sustainable impulses for inclusive structures in Saxony.

Eligible for funding are natural and legal persons, including public institutions, interest groups, and associations in the field of disability assistance. Applications must be submitted at least twelve weeks before the project start; depending on the sub-area, fixed annual deadlines also apply (September 30, October 31, November 30). The funding, in the form of a grant, covers up to 80 percent of eligible expenses for personnel and material costs and can be granted for a project duration of up to 36 months. Required application documents include the funding application form, the payment request, proof of use or provisional proof of use, as well as a publicity declaration. Through this support, project sponsors receive comprehensive planning security and financial resources to sustainably establish and further develop inclusive services.
