Funding of the Service Center for Childcare, Playgroups, and Parent-Child Centers

The state government of Vorarlberg supports the service center for childcare, playgroups, and parent-child centers in the form of personnel and material contributions as a central contact point and information hub. Through email contact, telephone service, and the official homepage, it provides expert advice to providers and staff. Qualified experts offer support in the areas of children and youth, counseling, labor & social affairs, as well as corporate financing. The funding objective is the sustainable quality assurance and further development of early childhood education services throughout Vorarlberg to ensure comprehensive care for children and youth and to promptly address current needs.

Eligible for funding are public institutions in Vorarlberg active in the fields of childcare, playgroups, or parent-child centers. The measure is granted as a subsidy and can be applied for continuously from 01.01.2020 until the budget is exhausted. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material contributions, as well as counseling and information services. Applications can be submitted at any time as long as budget funds are available and continuous support is ensured. The service center acts as an information line for administrative challenges, funding advice, and legal issues in the early childhood sector. Requirements include a detailed cost breakdown and submission of original receipts; the final accounting must be completed by January 10 of the following year. The audit is conducted during the final accounting by the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government based on the General Funding Guidelines (AFRL). In this way, providers and staff benefit from reliable funding and a central advisory infrastructure for pedagogical and organizational matters.
