Description
Since its founding, the Sparkassenstiftung Sömmerda has been supporting non-profit projects of regional significance that strengthen civic engagement in the Sömmerda district. This funding, provided as a grant, is aimed at non-profit organizations implementing diverse initiatives in the fields of culture, science, environmental/nature conservation, sports, social affairs, culture & media, research & innovation, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as labor & social issues. The funded projects are to be carried out as completed individual measures and achieve a direct regional impact. Another key element is the requirement for an appropriate co-financing contribution from the applicants, thereby sustainably supporting engagement in the region and demonstrating personal responsibility.
Non-profit associations and institutions based in Thuringia and active in the Sömmerda district may submit an application, provided the project is actually carried out locally. Various documents must be submitted for the application, such as the inquiry form, a current certificate of non-profit status, as well as supplementary concepts, cost estimates, and expert opinions. It is explicitly excluded that ongoing personnel and material costs, as well as construction or renovation measures, are funded unless they directly serve the non-profit funding purpose. In addition to the regional relevance of the project, the strengthening of civic engagement and the presentation of a comprehensible own contribution are decisive for the funding decision. With application deadlines on February 15 and September 15 each year, the Sparkassenstiftung Sömmerda offers regular opportunities to set important local impulses and sustainably support projects that promote community life.
