Description

Specialized short-term care at home supports individuals in need of care with complex care requirements in Tyrol and relieves caregiving relatives on an hourly or daily basis for up to 28 days (672 hours) annually. Funding is provided to private applicants whose primary residence is in Tyrol and for whom conventional short-term or day care is not feasible due to long-term ventilation or comparable specialized care needs. A prerequisite is a care allowance level between 4 and 7 as well as predominantly home-based care by relatives. This grant can cover personnel costs for qualified nursing staff when established inpatient short-term care is not available. Applications can be submitted continuously without a deadline to ensure timely relief for the family environment.

To apply for funding, a written application must be submitted in advance to the State of Tyrol. Required documents include proof of the care allowance decision, a registration certificate, proof of qualifications of the nursing staff employed, and a signed contract between the applicant and the nursing staff specifying the agreed hourly rate. Additionally, the planned duration of use must be documented. The support is particularly aimed at people under 60 years of age or individuals requiring ventilation who are cared for at home. It facilitates care organization for relatives and promotes the quality of life of all involved through flexible care solutions.
