Funding of the Foundation Opportunities and Education for Children – Birgit and Thomas Zuleger

The Chancen und Bildung für Kinder – Birgit und Thomas Zuleger Foundation supports non-profit organizations in Berlin in the field of educational assistance, with a focus on additional services for children and adolescents who grow up outside their families, for example in residential groups. With an annual grant of up to €5,000, the foundation supports projects that promote cultural education, social participation, and accompanying initiatives. The goal is to compensate for social and individual disadvantages through creative, educational, and community-strengthening measures that enhance the well-being and development of young people in challenging life situations.

Only non-profit organizations whose primary work is in the field of educational assistance are eligible for funding. Prerequisites for application are the non-profit status of the organization, activity in the specified funding area, and submission of the official application form including cost and financing plan, declaration of consent, property regulation, as well as proof of use (narrative report & accounting with attachments). Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material expenses, and public relations and PR. Since applications can be submitted at any time, the foundation offers flexible funding opportunities for one-time actions as well as multi-year project initiatives. Expert decision-making bodies ensure straightforward and timely approval to effectively support as many initiatives as possible.
