Description

The foundation "Equal Opportunities for All" in Schleswig-Holstein supports educational and youth welfare measures for educationally disadvantaged children and adolescents in and around Mölln through a continuously available grant program. Volunteer mentors accompany the young people individually in small groups or one-on-one tutoring to improve academic performance and strengthen social participation. The offer includes sports, craft, and artistic activities as well as musical training and intensive tutoring in subjects such as German and mathematics. Through these diverse areas of support, personal strengths are awakened and self-confidence is built, while at the same time motivating learning environments outside of regular school operations are created.

The overarching goal of the foundation is to enable equal opportunities and promote the common good by providing every child with a dedicated contact person. The mentors not only convey subject knowledge but also support integration into social networks and societal structures. Interested private individuals can continuously get involved and contribute their skills—whether in sports, crafts, art, or music. In this way, a sustainable network is created that opens up perspectives for children and adolescents and contributes in the long term to better educational outcomes as well as a strengthened sense of community.
