Description
The Foundation of the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Alt-Garbsen enables continuous funding of charitable and public projects in Lower Saxony. As a grant provider, it supports initiatives in the areas of social work, children and youth work, senior activities, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, culture and music, as well as building and monument preservation and infrastructure & urban development. Eligible to apply are public institutions as well as non-profit organizations. Endowments starting from €300 can be submitted at any time to sustainably strengthen the foundation’s capital and secure earnings for local projects.
The foundation particularly supports offerings and activities of the Alt-Garbsen parish – from the training and support of volunteers to music and cultural events in the village church. The goal is the long-term financing of social projects on site: social services, leisure activities for children, youth, and seniors, as well as the preservation and expansion of church infrastructure. Members and volunteers of the parish, as well as all those committed to community life in Alt-Garbsen, benefit from this support. The sustainable orientation ensures that only the interest income from the foundation’s capital is used, while the capital itself remains untouched. In doing so, the foundation promotes democratic participation and social cohesion. Interested project leaders are invited to submit applications at any time and to shape the future together with the parish.
