Description
The Foundation of Vereinigte Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG continuously supports charitable and sustainably oriented projects within the bank’s regional business area (Eifel, Mosel, Hunsrück & Nahe). Eligible for funding are registered associations, interest groups, educational institutions, as well as social organizations. Initiatives are supported in the areas of children and youth, social affairs, culture, sports, education, environmental/nature conservation, disaster relief, commitment to social cohesion/democracy, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. Political or commercial projects are excluded. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with projects evaluated according to the criteria of charitable purpose, sustainability focus, regional anchoring, and manageable timeframe.
The funding principle of “help for self-help” aims to strengthen civic engagement and create long-term added value for the region. Projects must be based within the business area and be feasible within a clearly defined timeframe. Application documents include information about the organization, project description, financing plan, and sustainability aspects. The foundation awards funds in the form of grants and places particular emphasis on transparent decision-making processes by the board and advisory council. Interested organizations may submit an informal application at any time and will receive prompt feedback regarding the further procedure.
