Description
Since its founding in 1997, the Volksbank Edewecht eG Foundation has been committed to strengthening charitable initiatives in the municipality of Edewecht through the interest income generated by its endowment capital. The focus is on youth work, culture, local heritage and monument preservation, as well as sports. The broad funding portfolio includes projects in the areas of construction and monument protection, children and youth, culture, media, music, as well as sports and physical activity. Through the annual allocation of funds, a sustainable contribution is made to the revitalization of rural areas and the promotion of a vibrant community.
Eligible for funding are associations, interest groups, and other non-profit organizations whose statutory purpose aligns with the foundation’s objectives. Multiple or ongoing funding is excluded, so each institution is supported only once. A completed application form is required for submission, which can be continuously submitted to the foundation’s board. The allocation of funds regularly takes place in the first quarter of the following year. Interested project sponsors thus benefit from a transparent and unbureaucratic decision-making process, enabling them to implement their projects in a timely manner and sustainably enrich the local cultural and sports landscape.
