Description
The funding from the DPSG Diocesan Association Würzburg Foundation supports non-profit scout troops, districts, and diocesan projects in Bavaria to realize creative activities and experiences for children and youth. The goal is to remove financial barriers for adventurous, educational, and community-promoting projects so that young people can experience shared responsibility, solidarity, and self-determination. Investments in inventory and equipment are excluded; however, action and project costs, travel expenses, catering costs, and material expenses are funded. The foundation places special emphasis on the contribution to personal development, the concrete involvement of participants, and a sustainable added value for child and youth participation.
An informal application with a brief description of the planned activity, the timing, the expected number of participants, and the required financial need can be submitted at any time. The decision by the board of trustees will be made within six weeks after receipt of the documents. Upon completion of the project, a proof of use including images and articles must be submitted to transparently document the support provided. Only units of the DPSG in the Diocesan Association Würzburg are eligible to apply; the funds are granted as a subsidy. Evaluation criteria include the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of the project, the concrete benefit for the participants, and the contribution to strengthening self-confidence and community spirit. This continuous funding ensures that no creative idea fails due to lack of financial resources and that young scouts can develop their potential through diverse experiences.
