Funding of the Foundation Learn Peace – Create Peace

The funding provided by the Frieden lernen – Frieden schaffen Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, other associations, as well as public institutions in Germany and the EU. With open-ended funding opportunities, the foundation supports peace policy projects, initiatives, and actions both domestically and abroad. The goal is to strengthen peace education, social cohesion, and democratic participation. Grants promote innovative initiatives in the areas of engagement for social cohesion/democracy, education, labor & social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education. Applications can be submitted informally at any time, ensuring flexible project planning and rapid implementation.

Eligible are civil society actors with non-profit status who advance a project in the fields of peace education, social cohesion, or democracy. A concise project description is required, outlining the objectives, target groups, and planned use of the funding. The foundation evaluates incoming requests based on their potential to generate sustainable peace policy impact, placing importance on international networking and the involvement of local communities. Interested organizations may submit an informal application at any time and thus contribute to promoting tolerance, dialogue, and peaceful conflict resolution.
