Description
The Hamburg-Verbundenheit Foundation continuously supports non-profit projects in the Hanseatic City that are dedicated to homeland preservation, youth promotion, and architectural culture. In particular, it strengthens the culture of remembrance and supports the preservation and restoration of architectural and cultural monuments – ranging from the Youth Building Workshop to exhibitions and memorial steles. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, and foundations based in Hamburg. Applications can be submitted at any time after a preliminary consultation at the Engagement Dock clarifies the suitability of the project. As a grant, the responsible parties provide funds to realize projects that preserve the city’s historical and cultural heritage and convey it to future generations.
The selection process is based on qualified project management, a structured approach, and good access to the respective target groups. Supported are, for example, cooperative models in which young people are actively involved in restoration work, as well as initiatives to convey urban historical content or to maintain local traditions. The focus is on projects with clearly defined goals and transparent work plans. After positive evaluation, successful projects may also be included in longer funding periods. Overall, the Hamburg-Verbundenheit Foundation offers a reliable source of financing for committed organizations that keep Hamburg’s cultural memory alive and shape it for the future.
